Not In My Lawn

I'm a sucker for gazing balls. Feel free to rearrange that sentence for your own enjoyment. We ran into a park that was full of them. I could have stayed there the whole vacation. So many things to do, so much time spent staring at one.

Fluffy

I am getting my birthday souffle grub on!!! There was the appetizer souffle, the main course souffle and the dessert souffle. It was deeeeeeeeeeelicious. I had a very grown up coca cola as my adult beverage. Notice my fine finger etiquette. I was trying to blend in with the French. I had the napkin in my lap and everything. Awww what a moment. Thanks for the life memory and being part of it Mark!!!!

Some Kind Of Beautiful

We happened to just walk past this cemetery. We were above it on the street. It was huge and really cool. If we had more time we would have been in there for a few hours since we are all into the "why would you go there" places. If I ever go back, I will be listing this as my one must do.

Did I Mention...

I am scared of heights. Not like a ladder, but the Eiffel tower had me glued to any piece of solid structure that I could find. It was crazy windy up there too. The elevator ride on the way up made everyone gasp. You shoud go though. It's a great time. Just look at my face.

Birthday Napkins

Mark, being the true creative soul that he is, designed this beautiful birthday blanket for me in a matter of minutes. I'm sure that Heather helped him quietly as Stephanie slept.

Much Better

Sometime during the early evening all the people pack up all of their religious propaganda and go home to their families to argue over dinner because they can't accept any other theories besides the ones that a religious icon has told them that might have been made up while in the bathroom right before the sermon. Then people who twirl and juggle sticks on fire congregate in front of Notre Dame and entertain tour buses while preaching nothing.

What?

We made it up 78,954,294,234 stairs to get to the bell at Notre Dame. I think that's where this is at. My brain went into overload over there. Please excuse my lack of knowledge of historical places. Mr. Snell was more entertaining to watch than listen to and he kept making us watching the Kennedy shooting video during history class. The bell tower was really cool, but not as big as I had imagined. Mark got a bit too close and we had to write things down for him the rest of the time. The girls just recycled a piece of paper that said "I need you to buy this for me."

Post Card Perfect

Mark snapped this shot when we got to the top of Notre Dame. It's one of my favorite pictures of all time. I forgot to do the spit and then count until it lands and then multiply that number by yada that my sister taught me once when we were up in a tower while the family was down below. I had to do it over and over and over.

Around The Corner

This is the look on our faces when we first caught a glimpse of the Eiffel tower. It was way off in the distance, but it was still a really cool site. Stephanie and I seem overwelmed and Heather looks like she is still sleepy. Notice the native behind us running away.

I Can't See You

Mark is inside the porta potty (he declined on using it) while Heather and I pose for a picture on the outside. The inside was all silver and very nice. You are viewing a shot of the sink area complete with kleenex box. It was quite large inside too. It took a lot of concentration for me to actually sit down and do my business as I watched people walk by. You could tell who knew what it was, who didn't and who go by it all of the time. If you are a people watcher and constipated, this is a tourist trap for you.

Can You See Me?

Outside of a museum in London there is some construdtoin and rather than stare at the blue porta potty the whole time, some artist created this. I am inside using the facility right now as Stephanie, Heather and Mark check up on their hair styles in the mirror. It was a bit hard to find the door handle to get in too.

Me Want

This is the smart car. This is the basic and average size vehicle across the pond. We saw a Miata once and it was a MONSTER. I loved that there weren't 50 SUVs with one person each in them hogging the road and all of the parking. I didn't see any road rage either. Hmmmm.....could there be a connection?

Inside A Jellybean

This is me, Ben and Heather while on the London Eye. It's basically pods on a really tall ferris wheel. While standing in line waiting to get on if you look at it and the clouds are moving just fast enough and in the right direction you can get some vertigo going. I absolutely recommend staring up at it before you get on.

Heaven?

This is the escalator that you get to use while enjoying the London subway. (They use actual tires on the subway trains. Mark is investigating that.) The escalator is skinny so you really can't pass people if you feel the need to rush. I don't remember any elevators either. It was a really good time when we had all of our luggage and blocked the whole thing. You couldn't tell that we were tourists. On the walls are mini billboards that you get to read over and over and over. People have great gum placement on the advertisements there. It was impressive. I feel a bit ripped off when it comes to carnivals now because this lasted a lot longer than most rides.
